Group Endorsements
In addition to the large number of Arlington citizens and community leaders who supported him during the 2003 campaign, there were many unions, trade associations, organizations, and community groups who have endorsed Al Eisenberg. Al is grateful for their support, and encourages you to become more informed about and support these groups and their issues. Where possible we are providing a link to their website.
- The Virginia Education Association and Arlington Education Association's political action committees supported Al Eisenberg for Delegate because of his commitment to address the state funding crisis in Virginia's public schools, because of his support of bringing Virginia's teacher salaries up to the national average, and because he supports the state's funding commitment to teachers who pursue National Board Certification. In 2003 APAC said, "Mr. Eisenberg had a long history of significant support for the Arlington Public Schools and we expect he will be an advocate for our students and educators in the General Assembly."
- The Virginia Chapter of the National Organization for Women political action committee endorsed Al Eisenberg for Delegate in 2003. President Connie Hannah stated "on behalf of the Political Action Committee for the Virginia National Organization for Women, I would like to express appreciation for your commitment to women's issues in Virginia. We are impressed with your position on the issues that we support, including reproductive choice for all women, lesbian equality, and the Equal Rights Amendment... We will announce our endorsements in an every-member voter guide, on our website, and via a Press Release... Again, I would like to thank you for your continuing support for issues that are important to women in Virginia. Please call on us for campaign help."
- American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME).
- Virginia League of Conservation Voters. Making their endorsement, the League said, "We are delighted to offer you the endorsement of the Virginia League of Conservation Voters...We appreciate your commitment to protecting Virginia's environment and preserving its history..."

- Americans for Democratic Action, Greater Washington Chapter, endorsed Al Eisenberg in 2003, stating: "We believe you share our commitment to building a vibrant, diverse, tolerant Virginia that works for all the state's people. Keys to this effort include supporting public education, protecting the environment, championing the rights of workers, expanding public transit and other creative transit solutions, an addressing budget concerns without hurting the neediest among us."

- Humane Society of the United States Political Action Committee, endorsed Al Eisenberg in 2003 and said he "demonstrated a strong commitment to animal protection, and we appreciate your positions that further the goal of protecting animals."

- Virginia Partisans endorsed Al Eisenberg in 2003. Announcing their support they said, Al Eisenberg "has been one of Virginia's most forceful advocates for equality and a true leader in the fight for domestic partnership benefits and in efforts to include sexual orientation in non-discrimination and hate crimes protections... The 47th District is exceedingly fortunate to have Al Eisenberg running."
